What does the process look like for Copywriting Projects?
Once the brief and deadline is confirmed, I will send you a quote and I’ll let you know all of the deliverables that my quote includes. I will also include a project timeline. Once the quote & timeline have been approved via email, I will send you an invoice for payment. Quotes are valid for 3 months. If the scope of a project changes or differs from what is initially quoted, jen ne sais quoi is entitled to charge additional fees. This will be communicated within a reasonable timeframe to allow the Client to either refine their expectations in accordance with what was agreed upon, or to approve the additional fees and pay the applicable invoice/s by the due date.

INVOICES
Money is important, and paying invoices on time is crucial to me running my business!
Payment terms are as stated on my invoices, and any overdue invoices will incur overdue fees at a rate of 10% per week.

SOCIAL MEDIA RETAINERS - PROCESS
Retainers are billed monthly in advance. After your first payment, we’ll schedule a call or send a questionnaire to discuss your content needs, brand identity, and goals. Based on this, we’ll provide an initial content plan covering the first 1-2 weeks. Once approved, we’ll schedule posts and continue with batch content approvals. Retainer prices are valid for 6 months.

SOCIAL MEDIA RETAINERS - PAYMENT SCHEDULE
Payment for the Social Media Retainer is due upfront during checkout. Following this, automatic monthly payments will be charged. Failure to pay within 7 days of the due date will incur late fees. All payments are non-refundable once the retainer is purchased.

SOCIAL MEDIA RETAINERS - SERVICES INCLUDED
All Social Media Retainers purchased by the Client are for Instagram only, and include the following services:

  • 1 x strategy phone call at the beginning of your package

  • Remote client liaison as reasonably required

  • Brief overview research to provide insights into your industry, competitors and Instagram best practices

  • Development of a content plan which provides an outline of themes to be applied across the Client’s instagram account, creative ideas and copy / text (the level of detail and thought that goes into this plan depends on the package you have purchased)

  • Services / deliverables as outlined in the description of the package 

NO PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO, OR FILMED CONTENT IS INCLUDED
If you need a recommendation for a photographer or supplier to work with, I would be more than happy to provide recommendations! I’m not a photographer, influencer or production company. No photos or filmed content are included in my services.
Jen ne sais quoi is a copywriting business first and foremost, so any images provided by me for your social media use will be graphic or text based, or will be edits of photos or content provided by the Client, your photography supplier, or a third party / stock photography source. My design work is completed in Canva. Image copyright is the sole responsibility of the Client.

NO META / FACEBOOK / INSTAGRAM ADS ARE INCLUDED
No ads will be included, and therefore social media reach and engagement will only be affected by organic growth. These are outside of the scope of the Social Media / Instagram Retainers and other related services. This includes boosted posts or Meta ad campaigns. growth. 

CLIENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
The Client acknowledges and agrees that any Materials provided by jen ne sais quoi will remain the property and intellectual property of them until payment has been made for the services provided.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
It is the client’s responsibility to look into the details of what is included in the purchase before a purchase is made. If you have any questions - please ask me! We can always discuss a custom project or retainer that works best for your needs. 

If you require additional services that are outside of scope of what has been purchased, you can request this separately and understand that this may require an additional fee, or be outside of my area of expertise. For Instagram retainers, as the client, you will be responsible for sharing your business’s Instagram login details, as well as photography and any content that needs to be posted. These need to be provided in a timely manner in order to keep to the content planner.

Failure to approve your content planner or content if/when required could result in content not being posted, and an unsatisfactory experience at the fault and cost of the client. If there is a delay in content approval because of the Client, this will not entitle the Client to additional work. Also, if the Client requires jen ne sais quoi to spend additional time or revisions on the work provided, this will be at the expense of an additional service fee. This will be communicated before an invoice is sent.

DELIVERABLES & DEADLINES
If the Client needs deliverables sooner, a rush fee applies. This must be agreed upon in writing before work starts and before purchasing the retainer. If the timeline cannot be met, no refund will be issued, as the Client has accepted these terms. In case of illness or unforeseen circumstances on my part, delays will be communicated, and a new delivery date will be provided. While efforts will be made to meet deadlines, extraordinary events may impact timing. I will always endeavour to meet expectations to the best of my ability and plan ahead to try to avoid any issues that may arise. 

If content is lost or social media accounts are compromised after delivery, re-delivery can be requested for a fee. However, not all content (e.g., Reels or Stories) may be retrievable due to platform limitations. At all times, I can only work within the constraints of the Instagram platform / app and its limitations and glitches or errors are out of my hands. I will not be at fault for issues caused by Instagram or Meta. The Client’s understanding of any potential issues is appreciated. It is not guaranteed that a copy of creative content (eg. reels or stories) will be kept on file as these are sometimes created in the Instagram app and rely on the systems and processes of Instagram. Additionally, sometimes technology is unreliable so the Client’s understanding in reasonable circumstances is appreciated.

CLIENT’S MATERIALS
All login information and materials that are provided to jen ne sais quoi are at the Client’s risk and jen ne sais quoi is under no obligation to insure any materials. 

MINIMUM TERMS
All Subscription Clients are bound by the minimum term of their package purchased. Should the Client wish to cancel their subscription before the end of their minimum term, they are to pay out the balance of their minimum term, including their additional once month notice period. 
- Keeping It Simple 3 month retainer - 3 months minimum term, 30 days paid notice required for early cancellation
- The Level Up! 6 month retainer - 6 months minimum term, 30 days paid notice required for early cancellation
- Take the Wheel! 6 month retainer - 6 months minimum term, 30 days paid notice required for early cancellation

CHANGE OR CANCELLATION OF THE RETAINER
After purchasing a retainer, the Client may upgrade to a retainer of higher value. However once the retainer has commenced, the Client cannot downgrade from their retainer package. If they wish to downgrade or change to another retainer package, they need to provide 30 days paid notice, then purchase the new retainer package of a higher level. The deliverables provided to the Client will be in accordance with the package they have at the time.

If you have purchased products/services from this business and have agreed to these Terms & Conditions, you may communicate in writing (during normal business hours, 9am-5pm AEST) that you no longer require the services to be provided on that date ("the cancellation”). The retainer subscription will cease one month from the date of received notice as specified above. If notification of the cancellation is provided outside of normal business hours, it is deemed to have been provided at the commencement of the following business day. Cancellations made by the Client must be initiated after the minimum term period specified in these Terms & Conditions. The Client’s one month notice period is a paid notice period to the same value of the Clients monthly subscription payment and will be automatically debited by jen ne sais quoi. Once the cancellation payment has been received from the Client, the services will cease. The Client shall not unreasonably withhold acceptance of, or payment for their package. If the Client fails to respond to emails or phone calls after jen ne sais quoi has made contact three times, the provision of services can be terminated, and any outstanding payments within the minimum term will be required to be paid out, with overdue fees to be paid on top. Once again, all retainer payments are non-refundable.

RIGHT OF REFUSAL OR TERMINATION
Jen ne sais quoi reserves the right to terminate the provision of services to the Client at any given time. If jen ne sais quoi terminates the provision of services, then any deposit paid by the client is non-refundable.

FORCE MAJEURE
If jen ne sais quoi cannot carry out an obligation under the contract or retainer either in whole or in part because of anything outside their reasonable control, including without limitation, fire, flood, storm, earthquake, explosion, accident, road or rail closures, rail derailment, wharf delays, war, terrorism, sabotage, epidemic, quarantine restriction, labour dispute or shortage, sickness, family emergencies or omission of any third person or public authority, then jen ne sais quoi’s obligations under the contract will be suspended for the duration of the event or waived to the extent applicable. 

LEGAL COSTS
The client will be liable for any legal costs incurred by jen ne sais quoi in the recovery of unpaid invoices on an indemnity basis. 

PRIVACY 
All information received from the Client, written or otherwise, will be kept confidential. Any private information will not be divulged or distributed to any third party without the Client’s consent.

AMENDMENT 
Jen ne sais quoi reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Amendments will be effective after the Client has been given 7 days written notice.
